In Booth S-338592, Enshu USA Corporation (Schaumburg, IL) will introduce their compact and nimble GE40H horizontal machining center that is perfect for secondary operations and die cast processing. With its standard ram-type 33.5 hp 12,000 rpm Big Plus/CAT40 taper spindle, it has enough power to take on jobs usually done on much larger machines. Its 500 mm (19.7 in) axis travels (X, Y, Z) plus a full 4th (B) axis, give the GE40H great flexibility for small to mid-size parts machining. The machine arrives ready to achieve high production volumes with standard features, such as a FANUC 31iMB Control, 400 mm pallets, rotary automatic pallet changer and a 40-tool capacity magazine. With dimensions of 180 in x 112 in x 139 in, the GE40H can simply be used as a standalone machine or as multiples in a lean line production environment. This allows shops with limited floor space to maximize their productivity and output.
“With the same travels and horsepower as higher level machine tools, the GE40H performs like a small platform sports car with a V-8 engine installed under the hood,” said Mike Germann, the national sales manager at Enshu. “But despite its many standard features and performance potential, it still comes at a competitive price.”
