TRUMPF Names New Product Managers
Adi Buerkler is product manager of TruLaser Tube, and Masoud Harooni has been named product manager of TruLaser Weld.

TRUMPF Inc. (Farmington, CT) has named Adi Buerkler, product manager of TruLaser Tube for the Laser Product Group and will directly report to Mark Bronski, product group manager. In his new role, he is responsible for expanding their market share by helping fabricators realize the benefits of laser tube processing. He will work together with their customers to help optimize their tube cutting capabilities and will serve as a technology expert – providing product and process support to the sales organization.
His career with the company began in 1998 in Gruesch, Switzerland, as a mechanical engineer. Following his time in Switzerland, Buerkler joined the company in Farmington, CT in 2001. Here he held 2 positions, prior to becoming the manager of the International Service Competence Center and technical manager. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, from the GBC Business School in Chur, Switzerland and is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt. Over the last 14 years, he has gained a broad background in 2D laser cutting machines and has also provided customers with technical expertise by collaborating with the company’s engineering, service, assembly and training departments.
Masoud Harooni has been named product manager of TruLaser Weld, a new position for the Laser Product Group and will directly report to Mark Bronski. In his new role, he is responsible for the day-to-day operations and will work to develop resources and processes to enhance customer product demonstrations. He will also work to enhance training to further advance customer knowledge and proficiency on the TruLaser Weld.
In 2011, he began his PhD studies in mechanical engineering with a minor in laser welding at the Research Center for Advanced Manufacturing at SMU in Dallas, TX, and has received both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Following graduation in May 2014, he worked as a laser welding engineer at a tier 1 automotive supplier. Harooni also served as part-time faculty for Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis (IUPUI; Indianapolis, IN), where he developed and taught a Modern Manufacturing Processes course. His career with TRUMPF began at the Smart Factory in Chicago in May 2017, as a senior advanced technology engineer.
