Met-L-Flo Inc. (Sugar Grove, IL), an AS 9100, ITAR and ISO 9000 certified 3D printing and rapid prototyping service bureau that provides additive manufacturing capabilities for aerospace, defense, medical and general industrial applications, is the first North American service bureau to work with Roboze Inc. (Naperville, IN), an Italian-based additive manufacturing machine builder that specializes in AM systems for aviation, defense, space, and industrial manufacturing. Their desktop 3D printers use the fuse filament fabrication (FFF) process. Instead of traditional rubber belts, their advanced “beltless system” technology allows for a position accuracy of up to 25 microns due to patented rack and pinon mechatronic motion in the X-Y axis.
The utilization of this technology at Met-L-Flo is effective immediately. “The ability to use their high-temp materials and printers is exciting,” said Carl Dekker, the president of Met-L-Flo. “We hope these materials will allow us to produce additional applications for our customers, especially in defense.” Met-L-Flo is the first service bureau with access Roboze machines and technology, and will start off with the One +400 machine to facilitate innovate systems for the defense industry.
“We are proud to have Met-L-Flo join our team and our users will benefit from the wide range of services and experience that Carl and his team have to offer,” noted Carl Dekker the NA territory manager at Roboze.
