Airgas Acquires Weiler Welding
Weiler’s industrial gas and welding supply business that services Southwestern Ohio and Southwestern Indiana is now part of the Airgas Great Lakes Region.

Airgas, Inc. (Radnor, PA), an Air Liquide (Paris, France) company and a leading U.S. supplier of industrial, medical and specialty gases, welding technologies, and safety products, recently acquired the assets and operations of Weiler Welding Company, Inc. (Moraine, OH). Weiler Welding is a full-service industrial gas, beverage gas and welding supply business that services Southwestern Ohio and Southwestern Indiana through six locations. Their 70 associates will join the Airgas Great Lakes Region. “We look forward to continuing to offer the excellent service that Weiler Welding customers have come to expect, and are proud to welcome their associates into the Airgas and Air Liquide families,” said Pascal Vinet, the chief executive officer of Airgas.

This acquisition marks the 500th in the 36-year history of Airgas, which was founded in 1982 with the acquisition of Connecticut Oxygen and, over the years, has successfully acquired and integrated companies’ operations, customers, and associates to create an industry-leading distribution network in the U.S. “We are proud to mark this special acquisition,” noted Andy Cichocki, the chief operating officer of Airgas. “Growth through acquisition has always been a core strategy and competency for us, and we remain committed to pursuing acquisition opportunities in the years to come.”
