INDEX Announces New Distributors
Part of their revitalized sales and service strategy includes partnering with new distributors and realigning sales territories.

As part of their revitalized sales, marketing, and service strategy, INDEX Corporation (Noblesville, IN) has partnered with several new distributors and realigned sales territories. “With the challenges facing manufacturers today, including with part cost reductions and limited skilled manpower, we will educate the precision parts markets to the unequalled productivity and profitability of INDEX and TRAUB systems,” said Tom Clark, the company president and chief executive officer. “By leveraging the reputations of our dealer organizations with local sales and service capability, we will provide our customers with the most productive turning systems and excellent local support.” The distributors and territories include:
- Technical Equipment Sales (Cincinnati, OH) will represent these precision turning machines in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. They operate three offices in Ohio. “As a well-known machine tool distributor in the Midwest, they will work to increase penetration in this important market area and will bring important local applications and service support to our customers in this region,” stated Clark.
- Marcus Machinery (Pittsburgh, PA) expands their representation into West Virginia. They have represented INDEX and TRAUB in Western Pennsylvania since 2014. “Representing them in West Virginia will provide area manufacturers with access to the premier turning machines in the world, improving the quality of manufacturing in our entire region,” said Mark Henne, the president of Marcus Machinery.
- Premier Machine Tool Midwest (Hartland, WI) now represents them in Wisconsin. This company, headed by A.J. Schweda, provides high quality equipment, service, and systems to assist quality manufacturers optimize investments in manufacturing technology. “We provide unique manufacturing systems to everyday challenges within the machining and manufacturing industry, identifying a challenge the customer faces and uncovering opportunities to overcome the challenge and implement systems that maximize time, talent, and resources,” explained Schweda. “We look forward to introducing these machines to our territory.”
