Grieve Mourns Loss of Former Leader
Pat Calabrese, the former president of the company, has died.

The entire family of The Grieve Corporation (Round Lake, IL) mourns the loss of their longtime president, P.J. “Pat” Calabrese, who died on February 17, 2018, in Lake Forest, IL, at the age of 90. He was the president of this company, a world leader in industrial ovens and furnaces, from 1958 until his retirement in 2008.
Born in Chicago, he graduated in 1949 from the University of Illinois with a BS in mechanical engineering and was awarded the school’s prestigious distinguished alumni award in 2001. Beginning his career at Grieve in 1958 as their national sales manager, he became the president in 1968 and finally chairman in 2006, after the death of Price Grieve, who founded the company in 1949. Pat also held a number of positions with various industrial, business and Catholic charitable organizations.
