MecSoft offers a free public Beta program of their cloud-hosted, fully integrated VisualCAMc add-on app with 2½-axis and 3-axis milling manufacturing capabilities for users of Onshape CAD software. (first view)

MecSoft Corporation (Irvine, CA), a developer of CAM software, has launched a free public Beta program for VisualCAMc, their cloud-hosted, fully integrated CAM add-on app for CAD software from Onshape (Cambridge, MA). The beta is free and available for users with an Onshape account. The VisualCAMc Beta application can be added by browsing the Onshape App Store and selecting VisualCAMc in the CAM category of applications. VisualCAMc leverages the manufacturing capabilities of desktop-based VisualCAM software that runs remotely across the Internet on a server. A new browser-based user interface allows this software to be used from any device, anytime and from anywhere in the world. Features of this Beta release include:

Fully cloud based – no downloads required.
Runs as a tab inside the Onshape environment.
Browser interface allows use from any device, anytime, and from anywhere.
Uses the same geometry kernel as Onshape – allows error free data transfer.
Uses MecSoft production-level CAM technology, including 2½-axis and 3-axis milling (more to come).
