COE Press Equipment (Sterling Heights, MI) recently installed a new coil processing line at Centerline Engineering Inc. (Comstock Park, MI), a supplier of metal stamping die design and build services. The line consists of a 72 in servo roll feed, a 60 in x 152 in scissor lift table, a 5 in x 72 in HD-series heavy duty straightener and a 50,000 lb x 72 in coil reel. Given the robust design of the heavy duty straightener, the line is capable of processing a variety of material including cold rolled steel (CRS), advanced high strength steels (AHSS) and aluminum. The roll feed can achieve a speed of 296 fpm with a feed accuracy of +0.003 in. The line is paired with a new 2,500 ton Eagle press that is being used for die tryout. In addition to the equipment, COE also provided installation, startup and technical training to Centerline.
