The new site is located in a beautifully renovated former Philips Electronics building from the 1950s that is equipped with a bright ‘Northern lights’ roof structure and lots of glass walls as an expression of sustainability and transparency. After a complete renovation, this building is fully in line with modern standards, has the highest energy efficiency and offers the best work environment.

Last year, Additive Industries BV (Eindhoven, The Netherlands) announced their ambition to grow to a Top 3 position in metal additive manufacturing (AM) by 2022. In order to realize this ambition, they will move their Eindhoven headquarters to a brand new factory close to their current location in early April. The new site will consolidate Headquarters, Development and System Assembly & Test Operations that are currently spread over two locations in Eindhoven. This move will enable their fast growing team to expand further because the total floor space in the new factory is roughly seven times more than their current combined facilities.

The new site is located in a beautifully renovated former Philips Electronics building from the 1950s that is equipped with a bright ‘Northern lights’ roof structure and lots of glass walls as an expression of sustainability and transparency. After a complete renovation, this building is fully in line with modern standards, has the highest energy efficiency and offers the best work environment for the Additive Industries teams. “We are proud to again move into a great example of Dutch industrial heritage, where we have been able to preserve the great architecture of the past and simultaneously add a touch of modernism,” said Daan A.J. Kersten, the chief executive officer of Additive Industries. “This makes a fantastic home for a fast growing digital manufacturing technology company like us”

The official opening of the new factory is scheduled to take place after the summer holidays.
