Strausak Names New President

Strausak Inc. (Mundelein, IL), a subsidiary of Rollomatic SA (Le Landeron, Switzerland), has appointed Joe Kane as their company president. Based at their North American office located in Mundelein, he is focused on accelerating innovation and customer-focused applications in the precision grinding space for the cutting tool industry. With over 14 years in the manufacturing and quality industry, he began as a metrology technician in the United States Marine Corps and translated those skills into a service engineer role in the workholding industry, focusing mainly on custom chucks for CNC lathes.

Kane has served as a product manager for a company, selling 4th- and 5th-axis rotary tables where he set up distribution and service channels throughout North America. Prior to joining the company, he was a sales manager for an Illinois-based machine tool importer and distributor, specializing in automated, turnkey systems for production machining.
