M.A. Metal Adds New CO2 Laser Machine

Their new Mitsubishi eX-CFR 4,500 W laser can cut thicker material with increased cutting speeds.

Posted: February 21, 2018

The resonator in the Mitsubishi eX-CFR CO2 laser machine delivers a unique pulse for a sharper beam, cleaner parts and 90 percent lower gas consumption. As one of the most cost effective machines on the market, this system provides faster movement, more powerful piercing and an eco-mode that reduces costs while the machine is running.

M.A. Metal Co., Inc. (Edinburgh, IN), a metal stamping and forming company serving various industries, has purchased and installed a new eX-CFR 4,500 W resonator CO2 Mitsubishi laser machine from MC Machinery Systems, Inc. (Elk Grove, IL) in their Indiana facility. “We are excited to have this new laser in our facility,” said Ronnie Burton, a sales manager for M.A. Metal. “The increased power and new features of this laser cutting system will help increase our capabilities and open up opportunities for more capacity, both of which are essential components for growing our business.”

One big reason they selected this system is its resonator technology: the 4,500 W resonator delivers a unique pulse for a sharper beam, cleaner parts and 90 percent lower gas consumption. Many laser machines are in excellent condition, but are limited by aging resonators. Upgrading the resonator can improve piercing time and reduce maintenance and operation costs. CO2 lasers provide advanced programming and high speed cutting for maximum productivity. As one of the most cost effective machines on the market, this system provides faster movement, more powerful piercing and an eco-mode that reduces costs while the machine is running.
