Now in their 66th year of manufacturing precision centerless grinding equipment, Glebar Company (Ramsey, NJ) is experiencing a period of rapid growth and expansion. To accommodate this growth they recently promoted two individuals to their sales department. A new engineer was also recently added to their research and development department. All three bring a high level of industry expertise and knowledge to the company’s existing and future customer base.
Sean Riess, their machine and technical sales manager, possesses over 20 years of experience in the centerless grinding industry – all of which he earned at Glebar. He joined the company in 1995, holding a Bachelors of Arts degree from Ramapo College. He has worked on hundreds of precision grinding projects in research and development of component measurement, grinding and machining applications, from arthroscopic shavers to medical guidewires – ranging across industries such as aerospace, automotive and medical. In his new role, he will be a resource to existing customers seeking process improvements and new prospective customers that are looking for turnkey machine systems and processes. In his free time, Reiss enjoys music and playing the guitar.
Newly appointed sales support specialist Kathleen Haddad has been with the company for almost three years. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Montclair State University. Her contributions to accounting, sales, and marketing have helped keep the company operating smoothly and efficiently. She also manages tradeshows and events and has been instrumental in helping to craft sales and quotation processes. In her new role, she will spend more time interacting with and supporting customers, making their experience more efficient and streamlined. When she is not at work, she enjoys cooking and spending time with her friends and family.
Leon Ekeoba, a research and development engineer, is their newest addition to the applications department. He brings extensive manufacturing, precision machining, machine tool, and machine tool applications knowledge to the company. Born in the United States, he spent most of his childhood in Germany where he completed a tool and die maker apprenticeship and engineering technology program. After returning to the U.S., he continued his work in the manufacturing and research and development sectors for automotive, medical, and defense companies. When he is not at work, Ekeoba enjoys spending time with this family and working on personal IT projects, such as building computers.
