Mazak Names New General Manager for Northeast Region

Mazak Corporation (Florence, KY) named Jim Rutan as their new general manager for the Northeast region. Formerly the manager of their sales office in Allentown, PA, he will now ensure that customers throughout the Northeast receive sales, service and applications support to help them better compete in a booming regional manufacturing market. As the general manager, he is responsible for sales and profitability across the region by working alongside the service and applications managers to provide customers with innovative technology backed by support and training.

This region, comprised of the eastern halves of New York and Pennsylvania, as well as New England, has been identified as a crucial target for future growth by Daniel Janka, the president of Mazak North America. “Jim has been an asset for us in Allentown,” stated Janka, “We expect he will be an even greater asset managing our service, applications and sales teams throughout the Northeast while working to support the customers and distributors who are making this region one of America’s most dynamic manufacturing markets.”

Rutan will also manage the Northeast Technology Center, one of their eight North American technology centers where customers can take advantage of opportunities to receive training, collaborate with partners on developing new solutions, test the latest machines and work with experts to develop new processes and applications. The center also has particular expertise in regional industries that include medical and aerospace.
