O’Neal Manufacturing Services Announces New President
Kent Brown has been named president and chief executive officer.

O’Neal Industries (ONI; Birmingham, AL) announced the appointment of Kent Brown as the president and chief executive officer of O’Neal Manufacturing Services (OMS; Birmingham, AL), a supplier of fabricated metal components and welded assemblies that serves original equipment manufacturers and an ONI affiliate. Brown came to them from a large fabricator, C&B Pipe Fabrication (Leeds, AL), where he was the director of operations. Prior to that, he was the vice president and general manager of McWane Corporation (Birmingham, AL) where he spent 17 years in roles of diverse and increasing responsibilities. A native of Pittsburgh, he holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from West Virginia University, as well as an MBA from Robert Morris University.
“Kent’s broad experience in the industry coupled with his enthusiasm for the business, will enable him to lead OMS successfully in the future,” said Holman Head, the president and chief operating officer of ONI. “The leadership team has the utmost confidence in his ability to build on the solid foundation established by Larry Whitehead.” Whitehead is the current president and chief executive officer and will remain until December 31, ensuring a smooth transition.
