The Associated Builders and Contractors of Indiana/Kentucky (ABC) recently honored Wurster Construction at the Merit Shop Construction Awards Gala for their work on the new facility for REGO-FIX Tool Corporation (Whitestown, IN). Held at the Scottish Rite Cathedral in downtown Indianapolis on September 28, the gala brought together ABC members, honorees and their clients to celebrate contractors who demonstrated excellence in safety, promotion of ABC and the use of member companies.
Construction of the new facility began following a groundbreaking ceremony on July 19, 2016, and the building was completed in time for a May 5 grand opening event. A representative from the Swiss Consulate, members of the media and officials from Boone County and Whitestown joined the company’s executives and employees for the occasion.
The new plant sits on a lot in AllPoints at Anson Boulevard that is shaped like the company’s triangular logo. Occupying 20,000 sq ft of space, it has twice the room of the previous location, enabling a doubling of sales, distribution and support services. The additional space will allow a premier precision tooling systems provider for the manufacturing industry to respond even quicker to customers and offer them an expanded inventory, as well as provide onsite machine tools for training, cutting demonstrations and application engineering services.
“Wurster Construction has thoroughly earned this recognition,” said REGO-FIX chairman of the board and REGO-FIX Tool Corporation president Andreas S. Weber, as he congratulated the company’s construction partner. “Our new facility gives us the opportunity to grow our business and bring together the various components of our operations under one roof to better serve our customers.”
