MC Machinery Systems Inc. (Elk Grove Village, IL) recently hosted more than 1,000 customers, visitors and team members for the grand opening of their new headquarters located at 85 Northwest Point Boulevard in Elk Grove Village, IL. The event was one of the first opportunities for customers and partners to explore the 175,000 sq ft facility, which includes a 50,000 sq ft showroom among many other modern amenities.

In addition to touring the new facility, attendees enjoyed a traditional Drum and Sake Ceremony, a go-kart track, food trucks, a beer garden and a live band. Company experts and key vendors hosted ten different seminars on best practices and trends in modern metal processing, and approximately half of all attendees went to at least one session. “Having such a large and engaged group come to celebrate this important milestone in our history was very exciting,” says Patrick Simon, the senior marketing manager of MC Machinery. “This successful event only added to the enthusiasm around here about the future.”

Several key North American executives were joined by global leaders from the Mitsubishi family of companies for the Drum and Sake Ceremony, including Tomoo Yoshikawa, the chief executive officer and president; Yoshikazu Miyata, the executive officer in charge of Factory Automation Systems, Mitsubishi Electric Corporation; and Terutora Urano, the division chief operating officer of the Industrial Machinery Business Division, Mitsubishi Corporation.
