In Booth A5448, Beckwood Press Company (Fenton, MO), a leading manufacturer of custom hydraulic presses and automation systems and the Triform line of precision forming equipment, will be showcasing their latest innovations in press design. Visitors to their booth will not only learn tips to increase productivity and eliminate unplanned downtime, they will also be able to quickly develop concept drawings on-site to share with their internal project teams: “Imagine the Possibilities” is this year’s booth theme that showcases Launch™, their exclusive virtual press design technology. Via a user-friendly interface, visitors can work with the company’s Solutions Team to input a variety of variables (bed size, tonnage, speed, heat parameters, etc.) and generate a preliminary sketch of their new machinery.
This technology is changing the way users approach capital equipment purchases,” said Jeffrey Debus, the president of Beckwood Press. “In a few short minutes, they are able to define many process variables and watch their ideas come to life. Having a concrete solution to their toughest manufacturing challenges gives customers peace of mind and greatly expedites purchasing decisions.” The Solutions Team has more than 100 years of combined experience in developing robust machinery and engineering competitive advantages. Relying on extensive process knowledge gained from serving countless industries, they can recommend process improvements and machinery upgrades that users would not have otherwise considered.
Also on display will be fluid cell and deep draw sheet hydroforming demonstrations using a Triform model 610-20-3SC. Ideal for low volume, high-mix part production, sheet hydroforming presses use a single unmated tool and a pressurized rubber diaphragm to form parts with smooth, uniform, scratch-free surfaces that typically require no additional finishing. Beckwood Press manufactures Triform sheet hydroforming presses in both Fluid Cell and Deep Draw configurations, hydraulic ring expanders / sizers, hot joggle presses, as well as a line of stretch forming machines for both extrusion, sheet / leading edge applications.
The company also offers a line of temperature controlled presses for compression molding, composite forming and high-temperature Hot Forming / SPF applications.
