In Booth B19045, Abicor Binzel USA, Inc. (Frederick, MD) will display their ABIMIG AT lightweight torch series that offers incredible power and customization to suit any welding job. Slim on the hand with an extended trigger option that allows for little pressure needed to work the torch, the ABIMIG AT exudes comfort for the modern welding professional. And with its ball socket base, maneuvering the torch into tight corners is easier than ever without cable whack. This torch series comes in three amperage models up to 400 amps with a bevy of custom swan neck lengths and angles to allow welders all access, no matter the task. Combined with their best-in-class welding consumables and nickel-plated nozzles for reduced spatter adhesion, the AT is welding as it should be for any MIG welder.

Also on display will be the high load, lightweight and super comfortable ABIMIG WT water-cooled torch that is as easy to handle and well performing as any liquid-cooled MIG welding torch. The WT is incredibly customizable. Its 360 deg rotating swan neck and various neck lengths and angles allow the welder an unmatched level of access, no matter the job at hand. Slim on the hand, with an extended trigger option on the handle that allows for little pressure applied to operate, the WT was built for powerful performance and operating ease. It comes in two models: the 440 which welds up to 500 amps, and the 540 which reaches 600 amps. Its ball socket base allows for easy maneuvering of the Kevlar-covered cable, and the nickel-plated and finely threaded gas nozzles strongly resist spatter buildup.
Also on display will be the technically sophisticated, robustly designed CAT3 Collision Mount that reliably stops the welding robot. The CAT3 and its integrated safety switch function prevents damage to the welding robot and torch equipment. Its precise resetting accuracy allows for a fast resumption of the production process that reduces production downtime to a minimum. The CAT3 is the improved evolution of the tried and true CAT2 and CAT2-HL robot mounts. The CAT2-HL robot mount can be easily exchanged with CAT3 without reprogramming the robot. A wide range of holder and flange accessories offer the right system for every application.
Also on display will be the first of its kind, 360 deg rotation ABIROB Cyclone® that provides a completely revolutionary interface and cable assembly technology for air-cooled robotic welding applications. The Cyclone features a patented wire brush technology that allows for optimal current transfer to the torch without loss of amperage while still enabling the torch neck to rotate endlessly in a full 360 deg rotation. Modular in design, the Cyclone is easy to assembly and disassemble for routine maintenance. With the Cyclone, robotic welding cells will achieve less robot downtime, less wasted motion, more articulation, higher production, and less part cost. Based on the legendary ABIROB air-cooled robotic welding torch build, the Cyclone is the next evolution of robotic welding application. Perfect for automotive, oil and gas, agriculture, and general fabrication applications. Especially suited for robotic welding of radial weldments or in confined spaces.
Also on display will be the TSi Injection Unit that succeeds the tried-and-trusted TMS-VI with its simple integration into the welding process, process-reliable welding torch maintenance, and the efficient and environmentally-conscious use of anti-spatter fluid. The TSi injection unit offers an innovative spraying process to reduce the amount of weld splatter sticking. The completely sealed spraying chamber prevents anti-spatter fluid from escaping during the spray pulse. Alongside the ecological and economical use of anti-spatter fluid, the TSi also improves cleanliness and safety in the welding environment. This leads to less expenditure for cleaning and maintenance. The TSi makes low-cost integration in the welding process possible through the integrated activating mechanism.
Unlike conventional electric actuation of the injection unit, the TSi spray pulse starts exclusively by the robot movement. The welding torch is simply moved vertically into the injection position to start the spray pulse. All the TSi needs for installation is connection to the compressed air network and appropriate teaching of the robot movement. Complicated integration into the robot controller is not necessary with this “plug and spray” unit.
