Coldwater Machine Company (Coldwater, OH), a leading engineered systems and precision machining supplier that manufactures and integrates assembly automation and special machines, has announced a 27,500 sq ft expansion to their current manufacturing space, bringing their facility total to 132,500 sq ft. This new addition will double their build area with the addition of three new bays, each at 60 ft x 150 ft, dedicated to the assembly of automated systems.
The climate-controlled facility features over 45 machine tools and overhead crane systems up to 25 tons. There is also an on-site Solid State Joining Center dedicated to the development of technologies that address the joining of lightweight and dissimilar materials. Additionally, there is inspection and test equipment to support internal machining needs, as well as customer build-to-print activity for precision parts. The company moved into their current facility in 1999, which was a greenfield site comprised of 78,500 sq ft located on 19 acres. In 2013, another 27,000 sq ft was added to support growing customer demand for turnkey automated systems. The current expansion is anticipated to be completed by November 31, 2017.
