COE Press Equipment (Sterling Heights, MI) announced the appointment of Hunter Coe to chief executive officer, succeeding his father John, who has now advanced to chairman of the board. As CEO, Hunter will help establish the company’s strategic direction and work with the executive team to ensure the company’s continuing success.
“We have grown greatly over the past few years and have adjusted our executive team as needed to best manage this business,” said John. “During his tenure, Hunter has proven his leadership ability through relationship-building and expanding our reach into new markets. We believe his vision, combined with the support of our seasoned executive team, will lead us into the future and ensure our leadership position in the coil processing industry.”
This family-owned business was originally established by John Coe in 1976. Hunter joined the company as a regional sales manager in 2008. In 2013, under his direction, the company began a cut-to-length business unit to expand into new markets. Hunter was then named president in 2015. He is a member of the Fabricator & Manufacturer’s Association (FMA; Elgin, IL) and the Precision Metalforming Association (PMA; Independence, OH). He lives in Rochester, MI, with his wife and daughter.
