Mazak Optonics Hires National Sales Manager
Adam Smelewski is now in charge of their sales growth in North America.

Mazak Optonics Corporation (Elgin, IL) has hired Adam Smelewski as their national sales manager. With increasing interest in direct diode technology and the introduction of the OPTIPLEX 3015 DDL cutting system, he will be in charge of sales growth in North America. Semlewski’s role is to oversee development and management of the sales team and distribution network.
“We are very pleased to have Adam joining our team. As we continue to grow, his many years of fabrication experience will further strengthen our expanding core of laser professionals,” stated Al Bohlen, the president of Mazak Optonics.
Smelewski has five years of sales management experience with laser manufacturers. He also worked for ten years at Haeger, manufacturers of hardware insertion machines, as a regional sales manager, then distribution manager, then up to North American sales manager. “I am very excited to be a part of a culture that Al Bohlen has created, ethically, while maintaining Mazak traditions. I also look forward to growing business along the way,” said Smelewski.
