In Booth 619, Marposs Corporation (Auburn Hills, MI) will display their innovative i-Wave2 wireless manual gauge that features an integrated 1.8 in color display and licensed Bluetooth® wireless technology. The i-Wave2 gauge puts measurement directly into the user’s hand without requiring a computer, helping to save time and money, as well as avoiding operator mistakes. Its 24/7 inductive charging system, in combination with a waterproof design, create a robust tool that is suitable for the most extreme shop floor environments. With a durable, ergonomically designed handle and automatic orientation display, this gauge also makes it easy to measure a part and transmit data to an industrial computer within a 10 m distance.
The iWave2 gauge features a bar graph column with measurement unit, good/scrap part indication, wireless strength and battery levels, confirmation of measurement transmission, and an Absolute/Relative option setting. Interchangeable nosepieces rapidly convert the gauge for ID, OD, depth, distances or countersinks. After acquiring a measurement, the gauge’s guided sequence system will light up the display screen, prompting the user to pick up the next i-Wave2 in the cycle. This gauge can achieve guided sequencing when used in combination with a Merlin Plus or E9066 industrial computer that also enables statistical analysis capability. The ability of the i-Wave2 to communicate directly with these devices brings manufacturers one step closer to the Smart Solution for Industry 4.0.
