Heidenhain Corporation (Schaumburg, IL) announces the new hire of Gisbert Ledvon as their TNC business development manager in North America. With over 20 years of extensive corporate industrial machine business experience, he assumed this new position earlier this year and is responsible for growing the CNC control side of their business in this region. Their CNC control models are referred to as TNCs and are growing in market share in North America.

Ledvon is responsible for developing a strategy to drive technical value and commercial demand for these high-end TNC controls at the end user and OEM levels and he reports directly to new chief executive officer David Doyle. In addition, he is charged with leading a team of 5-axis machining, programming and technology specialists at the company’s North American subsidiary in Schaumburg.

Prior to joining the company, Ledvon served as the director of business development for many years, as well as the applications manager prior to that, for GF Machining Solutions (formerly AgieCharmilles). Born in Germany and beginning his professional training as an apprentice via the Tool and Die Vocational College (Olsberg, Germany), he has lived in the United States for many years, where he completed a business program at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management (Evanston, IL) in 2009.
