In Booth 1434, Star CNC Machine Tool Corporation (Elk Grove Village, IL), a division of Star Micronics Co., Ltd. of Japan, reinforces their long history of leadership in the field of complex machining with the introduction of the SR-32JII Type B Swiss-type automatic lathe. This machine’s modular design with slanted guide way increases rigidity and improves accuracy for stable production. Eight (8) stations back the working unit with Y-axis to provide flexibility in overlapping machining requirements. Rigid machine construction enables continuous machining with superior accuracy over extended periods of time. The SR-32JII is designed to work with or without guide bushing, which is another option to further enhance versatility and flexibility while machining.
Also showcased will be the much anticipated new SV-20R Swiss-type Automatic Lathe. The newly redesigned SV-20R with improved functions, build in “B” axis for multiple tools, and (8) station tool block for overlapping of back operations puts this machine on the next level. Capability of two-tool turning will reduce production time and improve accuracies. With a large variety of tooling, rigid construction and flexibility, this machine provides capability for production of complex components in a single operation. The SR-32JII and SV-20R machines, as well as other popular Star CNC machines, will be on display. Demonstrations will be ongoing throughout the show.
