Quaker Chemical Corporation (Conshohocken, PA) has announced they have acquired metalworking fluids manufacturer Lubricor Inc. (Waterloo, ON), which sells synthetic and semi-synthetic coolants, hydroforming fluids and stamping products directly to North American customers, primarily Tier One and Tier Two automotive suppliers.

“With the addition of their technology we will now have a broader offering to serve our customers. They have a full portfolio of coolants that complements our existing product line,” said Joe Berquist, the vice president and managing director of Quaker North America. “Their position in hydroforming and stamping brings some different technology to us that we are excited to share with our customers. They are known for their great customer service. Culturally, our two companies are a great fit.”

Lubricor was established in 1998 and has nearly 30 employees who are mainly based at the headquarters and manufacturing plant in Waterloo, with a sales presence throughout North America and distributor relationships in South East Asia.

Quaker has been in business for nearly 100 years as a leading global provider of process fluids, chemical specialties, and technical expertise to a wide range of industries, including steel, aluminum, automotive, mining, aerospace, tube and pipe, cans, and others.
