In Booth C-16020, COE Press Equipment Corporation (Sterling Heights, MI), a manufacturer of coil handling and servo roll feed equipment, will showcase its 350 Series Power Straighteners with new design features that enable processing of a wider range of materials including Advanced High Strength Steels (AHSS). These new straighteners offer more than 30 percent improvement in strength and rigidity due to increased roll journal diameter and radius and increased bearing load capacity. They increase work roll penetration by a third, helping achieve the material flatness required to properly feed AHSS. The straighteners also feature enhanced outboard support, new idler shafts, improved backup design and other updates.

The 350 straighteners handle coil widths from 1.0 in to 54 in, thicknesses from .010 in to .310 in, and coil weights up to 30,000 lb. The broad range of material capability includes CR steel, HR steel, galvanized, stainless, pre-painted, aluminum and AHSS. The 350 straighteners are intended to be paired with ServoMaster Series 3 and Series 4 roll feeds. The straighteners provide encoder feedback and motorized roll adjustment along with numerous other options. The modular design of these new straightener heads allows them to be retrofit to existing coil processing lines, saving significant cost as compared to the investment required for a totally new straightener.
