New Flexwave Waveform Technology, the Capacitor Discharge Welder and the new NDZ Series CDW from Dengensha America provide better quality parts, optimum weld nugget quality and weld parameters that are easier to set.

In Booth N-5922, Dengensha America Corporation (Bedford, OH), a full-line manufacturer of resistance welding equipment, will showcase its new Flexwave Waveform Technology and Capacitor Discharge Welder (CDW) and the new NDZ Series CDW. The Flexwave Resistance Welder and corresponding flexible Flexwave Waveform Technology combine the capabilities of a CDW and a 1,500 Hz Bipolar Medium Frequency Converter (MFC). According to the manufacturer, benefits include better quality parts, optimum weld nugget quality and weld parameters that are easier to set. Flexwave Waveform Technology provides direct configuration of weld current values, making it easier to set parameters. It also maximizes waveform flexibility, which allows necessary parameter settings such as tempering, demagnetization, upslope, etc.
Also on display will be the newest and most compact Capacitor Discharge Welder, the NDZ Series CDW, which offers a smaller footprint in a cost-efficient compact design. As with the Flexwave welder, the NDZ-CDW improves part quality by providing high current in short bursts for minimum heat transfer and work-piece distortion. The CDW can deliver weld current as high as 50 kA, but only requires a small 6 kVA power supply. The NDZ Series Capacitor Discharge Welder is ideal for welding small projection parts on high-strength steel.
