In Booth N-5922, Dengensha America Corporation (Bedford, OH) will showcase live demonstrations of their new Upper Electrode Feeder Unit that reduces weld cycle times while promoting faster feed rates. It is capable of simultaneous workpiece movement and weld nut feeding, and provides many other performance benefits. The Upper Electrode Feeding unit has a patented new linkage design that incorporates linear as well as rotary motion, making it capable of feeding nuts accurately and at high speed. It is more reliable and has fewer moving parts. With a more thoughtful design, the feeding unit reduces part positioning and better secures each part. Its slim design provides application flexibility. Plus, only one feed action is now required to both deliver and place each nut.

In addition, with upper electrode feeding, the unit is capable of welding a nut to the bottom of a deep-drawn stamped part because there is no interference issue. The feeding unit also incorporates a simple universal electrode holder design that is capable of handling 6 mm, 8 mm, and 10 mm square nuts.
