Tebis America, Inc. (Troy MI), a leading software company specializing in CAD/CAM systems for design and manufacturing that services the tool, die, mold, aerospace and automotive manufacturing industries, has announced the appointment of Software y Aplicaciones CNC, S.A. de C.V. (Zapopan, Mexico), as a distributor. The announcement was made by David Klotz, the chief executive officer and president of Tebis.

“The appointment of a distributor in Mexico is another step in our continued growth plan,” stated Klotz. “Mexico is rich in manufacturing; Software y Aplicaciones provides customers and prospects in the area with hands-on sales and service in a timely fashion.” The new distributor has many years of experience in CAD/CAM for different manufacturing areas, such as mold and die, power generation and medical applications. They will work closely with Alejandro Rudolfo Arjona Knorr, the regional sales manager for Tebis in Latin America.

“Their team has the experience and is well versed in CAD/CAM software, and we welcome them to our team,” added Knorr. Tebis America, part of Tebis AG (Munich, Germany), supplies turnkey installations and also provides a full suite of 40 software modules focused on increasing their customers’ ability to reach higher profits through consulting, implementing of new technology, training and support. These industry-specific modules are ideal for shops that can grow into them as their own business grows. The intent of each bundle is to fit the size and ability of the respective user.

These scalable levels, labeled Standard, Pro and Premium, are intended to create an exact fit for any manufacturer’s CAD/CAM/NC process chain. The Standard version is an affordable, entry solution that fits most shops. Companies that have standard 3-axis NC milling machines and utilize low-end CAD/CAM products will be able to acquire the power at similar pricing. The Pro version is ideal for mid-sized companies that are utilizing multi-axis (more than three) machines and demand a higher level of automation for their operation.  The Premium package delivers the complete solution package making the highest automation and highest strategies available.

These scalable versions allow a shop to grow as they improve themselves in higher value products, without needing to change from lower-end CAM systems to higher end.
