New CFO at Bunting Magnetics

Bunting Magnetics Co. (Newton, KS), a leader in magnet and magnetic equipment design, manufacturing and distribution, has announced the appointment of Steven Peiffer as their chief financial officer. He brings more than ten years of experience to the company, including an extensive background in accounting, finance, analysis and acquisitions.

Peiffer oversees financial reporting, budgets, accounting and human resources for all four company divisions: Bunting Magnetics Co.; the Magnet Materials Division, including its e-commerce site, buymagnets.com (Elk Grove Village, IL); Bunting Magnetics Europe (Berkhamsted, UK); and Magnet Applications, Inc. (DuBois, PA). He will also serve on the executive team and report to president and chief executive officer Bob Bunting, who made the announcement.

“Steven is an accomplished accounting executive with significant financial experience and I’m excited to welcome him to the company,” noted Bunting. “He brings the financial background we need as we continue to advance the growth and profitability of our company. With him at the finance helm, I’m confident we’ll be well-positioned to meet our growth goals.”

Based in Newton, Peiffer most recently was the senior manager of Assurance Services at Allen, Gibbs & Houlik, a leading accounting firm located in Wichita, KS, where he excelled in providing guidance to companies to minimize financial risk and better manage financial resources.
