PacifiCAD Inc. (Spokane, WA), a top Autodesk solutions and services provider for Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) and Manufacturing, announces the selling of their Autodesk manufacturing and plant business assets to D3 Technologies (Springfield, MO), a leader in Autodesk Manufacturing Solutions based. PacifiCAD will continue to own and operate their Autodesk AEC business and continue to grow their software and service offerings.
This change puts PacifiCAD customers in the fortunate position to receive D3’s best-in-class expertise and support. One of the most important factors of this acquisition for both firms is continuing client support and reliability. “We have tremendous pride in the level of customer service we’ve provided our clients over the years, and I don’t know that I could’ve supported a deal like this with any other Autodesk partner besides D3,” said Bill Inman, the president of PacifiCAD. “It’s evident that their successes come from the never-ending commitment that their team has to its clients.”
“We are incredibly excited for our manufacturing customers,” said Ron Reed, the chief executive officer of PacifiCAD. “They will all benefit from D3’s focus on Manufacturing and Plant solutions and the unsurpassed level of customer service, support, training and consulting services that they bring to the table for manufacturing companies. I’m also very excited about the strategic partnership both our firms are forming.”
With this strategic acquisition, D3 will now serve the Central U.S., Gulf Coast, Mountain and Pacific Northwest regions with Autodesk Manufacturing and Process Plant solutions, coupled with a strong team of engineering, design, simulation, process automation, and programming professionals. Their team can also partner with other Autodesk partners to provide services and support for products such as Inventor, Inventor ETO, Plant, AutoCAD P&ID, CAM, Simulation, Vault, Data Management, and AutoCAD Electrical.
“We started with strategic partnership conversations,” stated Kevin Schlack, the president of D3, of the firms’ preliminary discussions. “Then ultimately, we realized there were tremendous synergies between our companies. Our acquisition of their Manufacturing and Plant business, along with continuing to work together as strategic partners, supports our founding purpose: to field a passionate team of experts to help our manufacturing customers be the absolute best at what they do. As our professional services and consulting team continues to grow, we always focus on the customer first and foremost.”
“Congratulations to D3 on the acquisition,” said Ray Savona, the vice president of Americas sales at Autodesk. “We expect their expanded team to provide its proven recipe for customer success to a larger industry base. This is an exciting time for our manufacturing customers in the Northwest.”
