In Booth E-3230, Tebis America Inc. (Troy, MI), a leading CAD/CAM supplier to the tool, die, mold, aerospace and automotive industries, will display their newest Version 4.0 software that features a new visual design, intuitive access to the functions through self-explanatory icons, and more feedback for the operator, all without sacrificing tried and proven features. The latest Version 4.0 release is especially well suited to components with steep cavities and can also be used very effectively for hard materials. It realizes its full potential in combination with high performance cutters (HPC). In adaptive roughing, the path layout is automatically adapted to the geometry without full-width machining. The large depth-of-cut and smaller lateral step over ensure highly efficient manufacturing.

The new interface provides users with considerably more feedback than the previous version. During off-screen calculation, Tebis allows up to six NC calculations to be initiated in multiple open CAD files. Thanks to the progress indicator covering multiple parts, programmers now have an overview of the status of the processes in the files. Any errors that occur during the calculations are communicated immediately to the user – also across multiple files. To meet the demands of a universal manufacturing industry, the company offers multiple industry-specific bundles along with 56 different additional combination possibilities, all with the intent to fit the size and ability of a user. These scalable levels, labeled Standard, Pro and Premium are intended to create an exact fit for a shop’s CAD/CAM/NC process chain.

The Standard version is an affordable, entry solution that fits most shops. Companies that have standard 3 axis NC milling machines and utilize low-end CAD/CAM products will be able to acquire the power of Tebis at similar pricing. The Pro version is ideal for mid-sized shops that are utilizing multi-axis machines and demand a higher level of automation for their operation. The Premium package delivers the complete solution, making the highest automation and highest strategies available.
