In Booth E-3264, TDM Systems Inc. (Schaumburg, IL) takes the next logical step in their Lifecycle Management strategy by introducing TDMnext, their new generation of Industry 4.0 software that enables both entry-level options with enhanced performance features and highly integrated, global system integrations that include worldwide networking and easy scalability. TDM Systems is a leading provider of Tool Data Management in the machining industry. With Tool Lifecycle Management, they focus specifically on process optimization through optimal tool planning and provisioning. Creating and editing tool data and graphics, integrating tool know-how and 3D graphics into the CAM planning, and organizing the complete tool cycle on the shop floor are their three core competencies and the pillars of their TLM strategy. As a competence center within the Sandvik Group, TDM Systems draws on the expertise of various tool manufacturers in developing its software products.

TDMnext is a highly evolved platform that is capable of simultaneously handling the operation of all existing TDM modules as well as TDM Global Line modules. It allows shops to completely overhaul and update their TDM software without a complicated system change. Additional advantages include simplified interface handling, easy use of on-demand and browser-based solutions and the combined use of standard and engineering solutions. The release of TDMnext also provides:

  • First-class graphical 3D tool assembling.
  • TDMsearch, a new innovative standard for tool searches.
  • TDMcheck, which analyzes data and processes in TDM and suggests potential improvements. It is an intelligent data concept that allows for new data to be imported independently of the software version, ensuring maximum flexibility.
  • TDMimport, which is targeted, automated import of tool data from a variety of sources, both external and from legacy databases.
