Surfcam by Vero Software, Ltd. (Gloucestershire, UK) reseller CAMCAD Technologies, Inc. (Winter Springs, FL), has hired new applications engineer Greg Harmeling to ensure that their customers receive comprehensive support for the significantly upgraded Surfcam product line.

The company now offers two products: Surfcam, which includes a wide range of significant new and improved features and Surfcam Traditional, the product most familiar to long-time users. “With the introduction of the new product late last year, we decided our company needed to find a really sharp young mechanical engineer to become our point man for the new product,” stated Alison Wildblood, the chief executive officer and co-owner of CAMCAD. “In addition to being a degreed mechanical engineer, Greg brings a good mix of humor, intelligence and drive.”

Harmeling, who earned his mechanical engineering degree from the University of Central Florida, completed an internship with the company during the final year of his studies. During that internship he was tasked with becoming a resident expert on the new-and-improved Surfcam. “The opportunity I have been given with them is unlike any other,” stated Harmeling. “Every single day is presented with new challenges and the opportunity to learn and utilize my creativity to solve different problems. I look forward to the years to come and know that my future with the company is bright.”

Wildblood stated that Harmeling did such an impressive job as an intern that he was ultimately hired by the company following his graduation. He is now primarily responsible for providing support on the upgraded product line including performing demonstrations, training, and answering support questions.
