Beckwood Press Company (St. Louis, MO), a leading manufacturer of custom hydraulic presses and automation systems and the Triform line of sheet hydroforming equipment, is pleased to announce the promotion of Adam Strein as an engineering manager. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Missouri University of Science & Technology and more than seven years of experience designing industrial machinery, he has developed an invaluable skill set that will aid him in his new role.
Since 2012 Strein has been an integral part of the company’s engineering team, leading the design effort on many of their most challenging projects. Performing detailed FEA analyses, engineering post- and gibguided press frames, and designing Triform’s newest deep draw sheet hydroforming presses, which feature a compact footprint and built-in tool change capability, are among his greatest successes.
As an engineering manager, he mentors and inspires engineers to design high-quality, innovative hydraulic presses and ancillary machinery to solve the most difficult manufacturing challenges. His initiative, leadership, and design direction are instrumental to future advancements in the manufacturing industry. “Innovation is the key to our success,” stated Jeffrey Debus, the president of Beckwood. “Adam’s ability to push the limits of press design and facilitate new technology development gives our customers a unique competitive advantage in the marketplace.”
Beckwood offers quality, custom hydraulic presses for virtually every industry and application, including a line of temperature controlled presses for compression molding, composite forming and high-temperature hot forming / SPF applications. They also manufacture the Triform line of sheet hydroforming presses in both fluid cell and deep draw configurations, hydraulic ring expanders / sizers, hot joggle presses, as well as a line of stretch forming machines for both extrusion, sheet / leading edge applications.
