Booth W-2172: Available in sub-micron grain carbide grades for ferrous and non-ferrous materials either uncoated or with TiN, TiCN, TiAIN or diamond film coatings, GROOVE ‘N TURN Acme Threading inserts from THINBIT / Kaiser Tool can cut 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 and 16 threads per inch with geometry to cut standard 29 deg Acme thread profiles. They can also cut internal Acme threads on parts with bore diameters of 1.250 in and larger.

In Booth W-2172, THINBIT® manufactured by Kaiser Tool Company (Fort Wayne, IN) will display their new DEEPGROOVE® support blade style tooling that is designed for internal grooving with a minimum bore diameter of 1 in (25 mm) and is compatible with 2 mm, 3 mm and 4 mm inserts. To best match customer requirements, these tools are available in four neck styles: 3 in reach with .375 in (10 mm) cutting depth, 3 in reach with .500 in (13 mm) cutting depth, 1.5 in reach with .375 in (10 mm) cutting depth and 1.5 in reach with .500 in (13 mm) cutting depth. The elliptical cross-sectional area of the neck provides maximum rigidity.

Also on display will be the expanded GROOVE ‘N TURN® line with Acme Threading inserts that are designed to cut thread sizes 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 and 16 threads per inch. These tools have geometry to cut standard 29 deg Acme thread profiles. Inserts can be used to cut centralizing or stub profiles by overcutting.  The inserts can be used for internal Acme threads on parts with bore diameters of 1.250 in and larger. Available in sub-micron grain carbide grades for ferrous and non-ferrous materials either uncoated or with TiN, TiCN, TiAIN or diamond film coatings. GROOVE ‘N TURN Acme Threading inserts can be used on conventional, Swiss and CNC machines. Toolholders are available in square shank size 5/16 in through 1-1/4 in and round shank sizes ½ in through 1 in with straight and 90 deg presentations. The inserts fit existing “L” series THINBIT toolholders.

THINBIT also offers an extensive selection of 60 deg thread forms for both internal and external threading. Custom thread profiles with deliveries from five working days are available.
