GF Machining Solutions (Lincolnshire, IL) has announced an agreement to purchase 100 percent of the shares of Microlution Inc. (Chicago, IL), a developer of micro-machining products that incorporate milling and laser technologies. The acquisition is in line with the strategy to enlarge their technology portfolio to fully meet the needs of manufacturers in targeted industry segments, including aerospace and medical. Both companies have mutually agreed to keep the sales conditions confidential.

“We warmly welcome them,” stated Yves Serra, the chief executive office of GF Machining Solutions. “They have developed, within a short time, a remarkable know-how in micromachining that complements our technology portfolio very well. We look forward to supporting them in widening our presence in the U.S. and worldwide.”
