Ideal for metal grinding applications, Whirl Wet Dust Collectors from Tri-Mer Corporation (Owosso, MI) combine exceptionally high efficiencies (99 percent efficiency range for a broad variety of applications) with the ability to install virtually anywhere in a plant environment without explosion suppression. Energy generated inside the unit will not allow the system to clog under any operating conditions, so the agglomeration and sticky residues that plug baghouses are not a problem.

Whirl Wets collect soluble and insoluble particulate using minimal water. These units are self-cleaning; particulate is deposited at the bottom of the unit as a dense filter cake, unlike baghouses that add to waste volumes. These collectors are constructed with PVC, polypropylene, stainless steel, or alloy materials. Their patented design has no moving parts and does not use “maintenance” components, such as nozzles or pumps. System capacities range from 500 cfm to 50,000 cfm. Whirl Wet dust collection systems are effective for soluble and insoluble particles.
