The rugged Air Vantage® 650 (K2961-1) engine driven welder/generator from The Lincoln Electric Company (Cleveland, OH) is equipped with a Tier 4i-compliant Cummins® engine for welding and gouging needs commonly associated with heavy industrial applications, like mining and repair. Its Chopper Technology® ensures superior DC arc welding performance for virtually any process: Stick welding, TIG welding, MIG welding, Flux-cored wire, Downhill pipe and Arc gouging. The Air Vantage 650 enables users to gouge using up to ½ in carbons with the built-in air compressor and weld using up to 0.120 in Innershield® cored wires and 3/32 in Lincore® hardfacing cored wires. In addition to the superior welding output (600A to 700A range), the Air Vantage 650 offers plenty of auxiliary power: 20 kW of continuous 3-phase, 240V AC power and 12 kW of single-phase AC power.
