One of the core values Ipsen USA (Cherry Valley, IL) promotes, both as a company and on an individual level, is to develop a community where their employees and customers thrive. Part of that development includes giving back to the community and ensuring everyone has the necessary tools to live long, healthy lives. With this focus on having a positive impact on their employees, customers and the communities in which they live, the company has selected the American Heart Association (AHA) as their sponsored charity for 2016.
As cardiovascular disease continues to be a leading cause of death globally each year, Ipsen will be fundraising throughout the entirety of 2016 to help AHA address this serious issue. They will also focus on raising awareness as they continue to promote a healthy workplace culture and lifestyle among their employees. Throughout February, they emphasized the importance of heart health by encouraging employees to wear red in support of AHA’s national Wear Red Day; providing employees with a healthy lunch; and holding an internal bake sale and raffle to raise funds for the charity.
All proceeds raised by employees during February, as well as a matched contribution from the company, were donated to the charity. To learn more about the AHA and ways you can support this cause, please click here.
