The 3753 Electronic Depth Gage from The L.S. Starrett Company (Athol, MA) is a versatile, easy-to-use tool for measuring depth, slot width, small section sizes, hard-to-reach areas and other applications. Available in three sizes – 0-6 in (150 mm), 0-8 in (200 mm) and 0-12 in (300 mm) – each has its own base extension to fit the depth gage size. The tool is operated with easy to use logical control buttons and a hardened, stainless steel bar for long life. A removable hook attachment is used for measurements from the edge of a work piece to the inside or outside edge of slots, grooves, etc. The removable hook has the screw permanently attached to prevent loss. Other features of the 3753 Electronic Depth Gage include:
- Lock to hold the slide in position
- Fine adjustment thumb roll for precision measurements
- Inch-millimeter conversion
- Zero at any position
- Manual ON/OFF with a built-in automatic OFF after five minutes of nonuse
- Linear accuracy of ± .001 in (±0.03 mm) and resolution of .0005 in (0.01 mm)
An easy-to-read LCD provides .35 in high characters for clear numbers that are properly sized for the tool. The 3753 Electronic Depth Gage uses a single 3-volt CR2032 one-year minimum battery with easy access.
