Taylor & Jones Ltd. (Sheffield, England) the largest reamer specialist in the UK, is gearing up for growth thanks to funding from Reparo Finance and equity investment and management support from the team behind Atkinson Walker (Saws) Ltd. (Sheffield, England), which is made up of local entrepreneurs Nick Alexander, Terry Lee, Mark Stanley and Chris Sellars.
Following two years of consolidation and hard work, the team at Taylor & Jones are now looking forward to the future. “The business had been unloved for some time when we took it over,” said Tony Egley, the managing director of the company. “We have worked hard over the past two years to rebuild confidence in the brand and put the business on firm foundations. We knew we wanted to push for growth and we feel the help from Reparo and our new investors will give us the boost and support that we need.”
“We know and respect Tony and recognize the value of this brand — it has genuine international reach,” noted Sellars, who has joined the board of the reamer specialist as part of the investment. “When he asked for our support we jumped at the opportunity. As a team we have thoroughly enjoyed the experience of working together at Atkinson Walker Saws and feel that we have a great deal to offer to this company.”
“We are delighted to work with Chris and Tony to support the growth of Taylor & Jones,” added Andrew Ward, the managing director of Reparo Finance. “It is great to work with a Sheffield engineering business as it embarks on the next stage of its business plan.”
