Single Source Technologies Acquires Automation Solutions

Single Source Technologies (SST; Auburn Hills, MI), a North American distributor of machinery brands, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Automation Solutions Inc. (West Chester, PA), effective as of January 18, 2016.

With locations throughout the U.S., Canada and Mexico, SST provides customers with leading machine tool technology such as Makino, related consumable tooling, EDM supplies, and engineering and service support that increase customers’ performance, profitability and competitive advantage. SST is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Makino Inc. (Mason, OH), a global leader in advanced machining centers and EDMs.

ASI was founded in 1992 as a full-service machine tool distributor for eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Long Island, NY. This acquisition of ASI gives customers the same level of exceptional service, with the added benefit of a direct relationship with Makino and SST local engineering support groups.

SST- Mid-Atlantic is going to occupy the main office and showroom facility in West Chester and will also continue to operate from the Pine Brook, NJ, facility. The SST-EDM machine and consumables activity in New England is expected to continue as is.
