Sandvik Coromant Appoints New President of the Americas

Sandvik Coromant (Fair Lawn, NJ) has announced Sean Holt as the new president of the Americas market area. An experienced executive in the manufacturing industry, he was a key member of the Americas management team as the vice president of engineering. He is now part of the global sales management team reporting to Eduardo Martin, the global vice president of sales, whom he succeeds as the head of the Americas organization.

Martin states, “Sean brings in-depth knowledge to all facets of our industry. From business development and sales, to engineering and research and development, I believe that his experience and skillset will be significant in delivering high-value solutions to our customers.”

Reflecting on his new appointment, Holt said, “I am excited for this new challenge. Sandvik is in a good place with a strong market position and we will continue to build on that. Holt, 45 years old, has more than 20 years of engineering, business development, sales and executive management experience. He joined Sandvik in 2000 as a sales engineer in Birmingham, UK. Since then, he has held several positions such as application development specialist and aerospace manager, Market Area Americas, before taking on the position as the vice president of engineering, Market Area Americas in 2014.

Prior to joining Sandvik, Holt was a successful entrepreneur. He was the chairman of the Industrial Operations Board and is now a member of the board of directors of the Commonwealth Center for Advanced Manufacturing (CCAM). Holt earned his degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nottingham.
