Various grades (from mild to high strength Grade 80, as well as floor plate) are stocked and ready for immediate delivery. Additional processing capabilities include the region’s largest press brake (750 tons, with 18 ft bed) and punching operations for nontraditional forming.

Located conveniently, just north of Omaha, NE, they are a source for steel, whatever the size, shape or configuration.
Owen Industries is the parent company of a variety of steel processing companies located throughout the Midwest. Founded as Paxton & Vierling Iron Works in 1885, producing foundry and structural products, the company was eventually rebranded as Owen Industries Inc. after having built several greenfield locations beginning with Missouri Valley Steel (now MVS Metals) in the 1950s. The company is powered by over 400 dedicated professionals and has four other divisions, in addition to PVS Metals. They are as follows:
PVS Structures (Carter Lake, IA) – Originally founded as Paxton & Vierling Steel Co., they have been a part of the nation’s steel construction industry since its founding in 1885. They are one of the premier steel fabricators in the U.S., with nearly 500,000 sq ft of rail served production space to serve your most challenging needs, on projects ranging from a hundred to over 20,000 tons. PVS is currently producing the safety related steel for the four new nuclear plants in the Southeast U.S., as well as a variety of other structural and bridge projects throughout North America.
MVS Metals (Sioux City, IA) – In addition to processing heavy plate, MVS is home to the several other unique processing centers: the region’s largest Waterjet table (for cutting stainless steel, aluminum, rubber, glass, granite and many other materials), a large tube laser capable of running 12 x 12 x 1/2 tube and large diameter pipe, and a family of machining centers. They are also the manufacturer of the Slagger, a self‐cleaning cutting table marketed in coordination with Messer Systems MG.
NPS Metals and NPF Finishing (Fargo, ND) – NPS continues the tradition of plate supply and processing, while Northern Plains Finishing (NPF) is a stand‐alone powder coat paint facility for large order volume.
