Ideal for the harsh environment and high output required by steel service centers and large job shops, the Kodiak heavy-duty multi-process cutting system from Cutting Systems is intended for high definition plasma, conventional plasma, or oxy-fuel cutting of plate thickness up to 24 in and is equipped with a floor mounted rail system that is adjustable to fit directly over the top of a new or existing water or down draft table.
Ideal for the fabricator or job shop that cuts longer plates or wishes to load multiple plates on the table, the Raptor plasma-only cutting machine from Cutting Systems has an extremely rigid and robust gantry design that delivers highly accurate parts with excellent hole and edge quality at maximum productivity.
The Sabercut is a thermal cutting machine engineered by Cutting Systems for flexibility to provide the accuracy, durability and versatility needed in handling the most demanding customer applications and cutting requirements of heavy fabricators, equipment manufacturers and steel service centers.

The Kodiak heavy-duty multiprocess cutting system from Cutting Systems, Inc. (Brook Park, OH) is designed specifically for the harsh environment and high output required by steel service centers and large job shops. This multipurpose system is intended for high-definition plasma, conventional plasma, or oxy-fuel cutting of plates up to 24 inches thick and is equipped with a floor-mounted rail system that is adjustable to fit directly over the top of a new or existing water or down draft table. A machined tongue and groove “T” rail with a precision rack is bolted right to the rail on this dual side drive machine for precision and repeatability.

The Kodiak comes standard in effective cutting widths from 6 ft up to 24 ft wide. Effective cutting lengths in excess of 200 ft are available. Standard features of this system include:

  • All steel fabricated construction
  • Heat shields for heavy plate cutting
  • 10 in x 9 in steel tube bridge constructing
  • Cross travel system guided by dual linear ways and bearings for accuracy of ±10 microns on cross axis
  • Precision planetary gearboxes with less than < 5 arc minutes of backlash
  • Precision rack and pinion, digitally synchronized dual side drive
  • High quality igus power track on all axis
  • CSI high volume gas control system for automatic hi/low preheat
  • Multi-station oxy-fuel manifold and solenoid package
  • Automatic plasma torch height control and collision sensor

Select a High Definition or Conventional Plasma system to cut material from gauge up to 3.2 in on mild steel and up to 6.25 in on stainless or aluminum. Multiple Plasma Systems can also be added to increase output. The Raptor is configured with the latest technology in PC-based CNC controls and drive systems. It comes standard with 1,000 watt AC drive system and is equipped with a floor-mounted rail system that is adjustable to fit right over the top of a new or existing water or downdraft table. Select from the Hypertherm Edge Pro CNC control or any Burny CNC controls to operate from one to twelve cutting stations on the Sabercut. This machine is equipped with a floor mounted rail system that is adjustable to fit right over the top of an existing water table.
