Abtex Corporation (Dresden, NY), a leading global manufacturer of machine/brush deburring solutions for the manufacturing industry, is experiencing rapid growth due to its ability to solve difficult deburring problems for quality-conscious manufacturers in automotive, aeronautics, and medical-device industries.
The company, formed in 1980, was recently named 45th of the Rochester Top 100 program, presented by the Rochester Business Alliance Inc. and KPMG LLP. Launched in 1987, the program recognizes the fastest-growing private companies in Greater Rochester. To be eligible for the Rochester Top 100, businesses must be privately held, headquartered in the nine-county Rochester region, and have earned at least $1 million in revenue in each of the three most recent fiscal years.
The company is completing a 66 percent expansion of it’s production facilities in Dresden. The additional space is required to expand the company’s brush manufacturing capacity in response to increasing marketplace demand. “We are extremely gratified to be recognized as a top-growth company in the Finger Lakes (NY) area,” said Mark Fultz, the company president. “This recognition is directly attributable to the hard work of our employees as well as the desire of our customers to achieve cutting-edge status as manufacturing leaders.”
Since 1980, Abtex has been providing integrated brush/machine deburring solutions to the North American manufacturing industry. The company supplies abrasive filament brushes and custom-designed deburring machines for a wide variety of machined-part, aluminum-extrusion, fine-blanked, and powdered-metal applications. Customers include manufacturers such as automotive Tier 2 and Tier 3 parts producers.
