Jaco Vessel Engineering | Best Technical Services, Inc. (Pico Rivera, CA) has received Certification for “U” and “R” work by obtaining certification from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME; New York, NY) for manufacture of pressure vessels. It has also received certification from the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors (Columbus, OH) for metallic repair.
Tank and chamber work requiring the “U” stamp is already underway in their products and services used by major aerospace facilities, food and beverage processing facilities, pharmaceutical plants, oil and gas operations and anyone needing metal fabrication – even metal art sculptures. The company is finishing work on two major aerospace projects and starting work on a vacuum chamber for aircraft transparency deposition.
With the “R” certification, its Field Service group will be positioned to use their years of experience repairing and modifying metal tanks/vessels, piping and structures. They have crews and equipment for quick response situations. The business is owned by Jim Armstrong, an experienced businessman in California who was the owner of Garwood Laboratories for many years that provided product testing for many of the same companies needing the services of Jaco Vessel Engineering. The new company is located in the former Garwood Labs facility in Pico Rivera.
