SURFCAM, by Vero Software UK Limited (Cheltenham, UK), is joining forces with parent company Hexagon Metrology, Inc. (North Kingstown, RI) to expand its suite of training services in the northwestern United States. Located in Kent, WA, the Hexagon Metrology office — which offers a host of services that include customer training — will now also serve as a training site for the SURFCAM computer-aided-manufacturing (CAM) solution.
“We are delighted to both expand services for our customers in the northwest, and to embark on this collaboration with Hexagon Metrology,” said SURFCAM general manager Peter Marton. “It’s a great opportunity for our users to have better access to our support services, as well as for them to learn more about how they will benefit from the relationship between Vero and Hexagon.”
The first SURFCAM training courses at the new training site in Kent took place September 10-11. The Hexagon Metrology offices in Fremont, CA, will also host SURFCAM training sessions on October 8-9.
In keeping with its mission to expand services in the northwestern U.S., SURFCAM has also welcomed a new West Coast account manager, Scott Inslee, to its growing team. Inslee will be personally contacting users on the West Coast to learn more about their businesses and how the software can best serve their individual needs.
