Stoody® (Bowling Green, KY), an ESAB brand, has recently launched the new Stoody Tech Services (STS) hotline to provide a valuable resource to distributors and applicators seeking answers about product selection and the application of hardfacing and high alloy joining consumables.

This hotline will be attended by recently promoted Jonathan Cropper, a technical and applications specialist for the Stoody brand. With an accomplished background as a welding fabricator, Cropper joined Stoody in 2008 and has spent the past five years as a research and development welder. In this former role, he worked closely with product engineering, manufacturing, quality, and sales team members with responsibilities including product testing, weld analysis, and end user field support.

The STS hotline is available 8 am to 5 pm (CST) Monday–Friday by calling 800-369-4864. Customers may opt to send product and application questions by e-mail to [email protected]. When e-mailing questions, customers are encouraged to please include telephone contact information for follow up.

Distributors and applicators are encouraged to utilize the new hotline for help in determining the most suitable products for their needs. Some basic information will be helpful, including preferred welding process, wear issues being addressed, base metal type, and any weld deposit characteristics desired or to be avoided.
